Business emails were a little less formal than a paper letter or even an attached Word document sent via email, fewer font changes and that sort of thing,carry their own date,subject. 
In business their are not used if the message needs to be private or secured and do not use emoticons or smiley faces
E-mail adresses have many advantages such as:

- The messages can be transmited simultaneously to multiple users.
- You can send documents or personales photos etcEmails also say from who
- They are, so you might not need to 'sign' the email.
Now I can not imagine my world without e-mail!Thank God!:)
